Affiliate Marketing-A Lot of Ways To Earn Money
by: Vytautas Petrauskis
A lot of people are now getting into online businesses and online marketing either to supplement their “real world” income or for it to become their primary source of income. Why? Because online marketing just provides them a lot of benefits! First, you can reach just about anybody in the world who has Internet access if you market your products online. That means a wider market for you, which can translate to larger profits. Second, setting up an online business requires only a fraction of the cost required to set up an actual business establishment, which means a lot of savings for the business owner. Another aspect that has attracted a lot of people towards online marketing is the fact that one doesn’t have to have his own products to get started. In online marketing, one can start making a lot of money just by selling, or even by just trying to sell, other people’s products. And getting started with this kind of marketing strategy is actually quite easy. All that one needs to do is to set up an agreement with an online retailer or merchant, and after everything is settled, one can immediately start making money by selling the merchant’s or the retailer’s products. Incidentally, the most popular and the fastest growing method of selling other people’s products online is affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing, in its simplest definition, is a relationship between an online merchant or retailer, who has products to sell, and his affiliates, who are willing to promote the merchant’s product on their website. In a typical affiliate marketing set up, the merchant provides his affiliates with banners and text ads that links to his site. The affiliates will then get these ads posted on their website and they get paid whenever traffic or sales is directed to the merchant’s website. Affiliates are often paid on commission basis, although other online merchants would opt to pay a fixed fee for the affiliate’s compensation. Starting to make money online with affiliate marketing is relatively quick and easy. All that one has to do is to sign up as an affiliate for an online company that offers affiliate programs. An alternative method, and usually an easier one, is to sign up as a member of an affiliate network—a network that hosts a variety of affiliate programs for different online merchants or retailers. Signing up is usually free, although other companies and networks may require you to pay a particular fee. Such fees, however, are made as payment for additional services that the company may render, like providing you with tools and assistance to jumpstart your online business. When you sign up with an affiliate marketing program, you are usually required to fill out a form containing information about yourself. Some affiliate programs may also require you to present the URL of your website and describe its contents. This will allow the retailers to verify that you actually have a website with contents that are relevant to their products. Some affiliate programs, however, won’t require you to have a website. After filling out the form and all, you are then allowed to choose the affiliate programs you want to promote. After signing up with an affiliate program and being an actual affiliate, you are now ready to start making a lot of money by selling other people’s product online. How do you make money? There are actually a number of ways for you to earn money as an affiliate, and most of these ways depends on the type of affiliate marketing program you’ve gotten into. Many affiliate marketing programs compensate their affiliates in either of three ways: pay-per-click (PPC), pay-per-sale (PPS), or pay-per-lead (PPL). In pay-per-click affiliate marketing, the affiliate is paid whenever he directs traffic to the merchant’s site. PPS and PPL affiliate marketing programs work rather differently. In PPS, the affiliate only gets paid when his referral converts into an actual sale. In typical PPS affiliate programs, the affiliate would usually get 15 commission for each conversion. PPL affiliate programs work the same way, although affiliates are paid a fixed fee whenever his referral converts into a lead for the company. Some affiliate marketing programs are two-tier programs, wherein the affiliate is also allowed to recommend other affiliates to the merchant. In such affiliate programs, the affiliate would not only be paid for the traffic or sales that he would direct to the merchant’s site but also for the traffic or sales directed by the affiliates who signed up with the program through his recommendation. Yet another way of earning more profits with affiliate marketing is through residual affiliate programs. Residual affiliate programs are affiliate programs where the affiliate gets paid a number of times for as long as the merchant keeps the customer the affiliate has referred to his site. One form of residual program gets the affiliate paid a commission every time the referred customer purchases something on the merchant’s site. Another form of residual affiliate program gets the affiliate paid a percentage every month for as long as the company keeps the referred customer. With a lot of options available and a lot of ways to earn money, affiliate marketing is undoubtedly the most popular and the easiest way to make money by selling other people’s products online. As to how much money one can get from affiliate marketing actually depends on the affiliate. A dedicated and hardworking affiliate would certainly get more from the program compared to those affiliates who would simply sign up and forget about the program later.

Cook Up A Storm With Your Postcards
by: Lynne Saarte
Creating your marketing collaterals is like cooking up a dish – you need to have all the right ingredients in order for you to have the best meal that your audience would delight in. For the most part, your marketing collaterals such as your print postcards can benefit if you cook it right. Your postcard printing will create a most delightful dish for your target audience that even the most discriminating palate can appreciate. There are two basic ingredients that you should never be without when you have your marketing tool such as your postcard printing: the content and the format. Whatever your design, your content and format will determine the effect you have to your target audience. This means then that you have to consider, more than anything else, the length as well as the right information you put in your print postcards. Just like when you are cooking a dish, it does not matter how much you cook – whether you cook up a whole batch to feed an army, or just for you and your husband. More significant is the right ingredients that you include in your recipe that makes your dish appealing and delightful to your target market’s palate. In other words, you choose the right ingredients that will make it interesting and delectable to everyone in your target market. As each one of your target audience have different tastes, you have to also consider cooking print postcards that can be appreciated by everyone. A content that is generic but at the same time focused on your target reader’s needs will make for a more appealing dish indeed. When writing your content then, you have to consider whether your information is timely and informative. Is it interesting enough – so much so that your target readers would not only glance at your message in your postcard printing, but they would actually want to ask for more information from you? Not only do you create an image to your target audience that is knowledgeable and professional, but you are also positioning yourself as an expert in your industry. This is very important because people in general are attracted to those who know what they are talking about. People would want someone who can give them valuable information that can help them solve their problems. Someone who can teach them the skills they in turn need to develop their own business for one thing. So the next time you are designing your postcard printing, think of it as a dish that you have to make tasteful and delectable. Not only should you cook up a storm of your print postcards; but more importantly, you need to determine what kind of dish your target audience would go for.

by Tony Gregory
Welcome to yet another blogging info article. The first in a series to help those needing new internet training skills.
Blog is short for the term weblog. A blog is an online journal wherein you can display your thoughts, ideas, opinions and practically anything that you wish people to read. Your Blog is very personal and may come in whatever Format or style that you may dream up. The majority of blogging sites offer built in features such as hyperlink, straight texts, pictures etc with the more advanced sites allow you to put video and mp3's on your blogs.
The basic configuration of a blog is as follows
Title- which allows you to label your post Body- this is the content of your post Trackback- other sites can be linked back to your blog Permanent link- every article that you write has a URL Comments- this allows readers to post comments on your blog.
One of the advantages of blogging is that it is made up of only a few preset templates. Unlike, other websites that is made up of numerous individual pages. This make it easier for blog users to create new pages, because it already has a fix setting that include: slots for title, body of the post, category, etc. This helps newbie bloggers as it makes it a bit like paint by numbers.
Anyone who wants to start a blog can do so by becoming a member of a blogging website of their choice. Once they've become members, they automatically become a part of that particular blogging community. They can browse through other bloggers pages, and link them back to their own blogs. They can also make comments on other members' blogs.
The general idea with blogging is to give your blog a theme eg sports food gardening etc This way people looking for blogs on a subject come to your site and read write comments about your theme ,hence enhancing your blog.
Blogs have made advancements into the education sector with universities documenting student lessons .Many businesses are now blogging as a sales medium as a means to advertise and promote their products. This is growing vastly as it is a very cheap and profitable type of advertising. Even the general public are now making money through blogs, by utilising their blog as an affiliate marketing site.
Bloggers usually communicate within themselves. This is one of the appeals of blogging. It creates a community of people sharing their ideas, thoughts, and comments with each other.
Basically, you set the rules for your blog and express yourself however you wish. So if you would like to give it a try just type in blog sites on your favourite search engine and start a bloggn either on your own blog or comment on another persons. Its up to you.
Just search any blogging directory and you'd get a listing of a lot of blogging sites that are available on the net. Selling As A Priority
by: Janice Jenkins
The first and most important thing you can do to upgrade your sales results is very simple: Make your sales effort a priority. It seems obvious, but sometimes with all the ins and outs of running a business, especially when you are looking at having an effective marketing campaign such as your postcard printing, you get caught up in other activities that do not put you directly on the path to growth. Over time, this can become a rhythm that sticks you in the status quo, slowly stagnating. If this sounds familiar to you, it is time to change your mindset. To knock the dust off your current sales effort, here are some easy but helpful tips to move you into a proactive selling mode: Consider using a daily sales checklist. Make sure that you keep track of the accounts you are currently handling. With a daily sales checklist, you will have an easier time maintaining active accounts, as well as make old accounts become functional again. Also, by identifying the amount of accounts you have, you can monitor and approach the number that you can actually accomplish on a daily basis. Schedule each day for selling. Consider setting aside a specific amount of time each day dedicated strictly to selling. Or if you are focusing on another activity, say, getting your postcard printing ready for your postcard printer, you can at least assign someone to make sure that your business is engaged in a selling activity. This way, you are not only effective in marketing your product in your postcard printing for example, but you are actually committing your company to sell your product or service. Treat selling as something sacred. Do not ignore the importance of your selling activity. Sometimes with too much work to distract you, you often forget that you also have to sell your business as well as run it. So do not let other things become too urgent that you forget about getting profits from your products. Focus your efforts on putting your business in the market. You actually have to set yourself up on a selling mode. To sell effectively, be in the mood to do so. Make sure you know everything there is to know about your product and service. Get energized to market your product and put yourself in a positive disposition that selling in itself becomes an enjoyable activity. The bottom line is to get yourself so into it that you will infect other people in your company with your enthusiasm. Get everyone involved. And talking about infecting other people with your enthusiasm is sure to have everybody share your goals and objectives for the business. Everybody working together in a company will have good odds of closing enough sales to meet the goals you have set for your business. Keeping everyone informed and concerned with the business can go a long way in building an environment within your company where your staff and employees are actually energized to work to achieve your goals.

Search Engine Optimization Strategies: Related Keywords
by Matthew Bredel
If you are trying to get more traffic and improve your search engine rankings, learn a bit about LSI to enhance your SEO strategy. Here's some helpful information to help you understand why taking time to sprinkle latent semantic indexing into your web content and article marketing efforts will be helpful to you.
Google Search Indexing
Not all search engines work the same but more often than not, the search engines continually tweak their algorithms. They do this as they discover more ways to do a better job at helping surfers find what they're looking for and they make adjustments regularly to stop others from 'gaming' the system and gaining a significant advantage over other websites. If you're anxious to learn all you can about improving the results of seo spiders that index your website, you need to identify what they're looking at and ensure that they find what they want on each web page on your site, pointing to your site, and find what they like on the sites that your website points to. You can't control all these factors all the time but there are things you can do to positively impact the results. LSI is something you should consider.
What is LSI?
Adding latent semantic indexing to your SEO strategy is a good idea and chances are, it'll never expire in terms of being a key component of getting well indexed for your niche. The gist of latent semantic indexing is that search engine spiders look at your niche and also look at all the content on your pages to see how closely they relate to your main keywords. So if you're selling computers, the spider will crawl your pages to look for other words related to computers such as: hardware, software, peripherals, etcetera. A lot of SEO specialists now create long keywords lists above and beyond the main keywords they want to rank for and try to weave as many terms into their content as possible.
Be sure, when you're writing for latent semantic indexing, that you don't overdo it. If you're trying to get 20 keywords in above and beyond your main keyword, be sure the article is long. You don't want a 10% keyword density otherwise all your efforts will be for naught as the search engines will think your site is 'spam'.
Spend some time learning about various aspects of SEO when you build your pages and spend time researching and writing great content. When researching, look at many online tools that help you find great keywords. There are tools based on popular keywords and you'll also find keyword analysis tools that help you reach a healthy density as well. Beyond that, you can use Google's tilde operator which will help you identify laterally related words. To use it, type a ~ before your keyword and for the first several search engine results pages you'll see bold words. Those words are words Google considers to be highly relevant to the main keyword.
There is no one magical success formula that fits all websites and all niches but the more that you do to learn about search engine optimization and effective search engine marketing strategies, the better your chances for success.

Online Catalog Strategies
by: Colleen Davis
Catalog printing has now steadily been giving way to online catalogs. With more and more market opportunities shifting towards the online market place it is only prudent to switch from the physical kind of catalog printing to the online kind of catalog media. Do not worry about this shift however, since a lot of the things that apply to physical catalog templates also apply to online catalogs as well. The medium may have changed, but the content and style is still the same. You just need to adjust the aspects a bit so that the online catalog can become more effective as an online tool. In this article we will give you a few simple tips on strategies that you can use for your own online catalogs. Large professional images – The first and important strategy for online catalogs, is actually a catalog printing classic. You have to display large and professional images of your products and services. People are very visual about the things they buy and catalogs are the epitome of of this sales paradigm. You have to make people like what they see, so this means your catalog images should be the best that you can offer. So hire a professional photographer to take images of all of your products for your online catalog. This can even double as images for your catalog printing as well. More or less however, good and well framed photographs that are set to emphasize the great qualities of your products is a standard and important strategy for catalogs. So do not forget about it. This should actually be your first step in creating an online catalog. Quick but descriptive blurbs – Next we get to the writing. While pictures give people that initial attraction, content must follow through with some pertinent details. This is where “blurb” writing kicks in. Blurbs are those small descriptions about things that should help you figure out what that thing is all about. Now, while this may sound simple, it is actually an art form unto itself. You have to write something inviting, and detailed within a set number of spaces and words for it to be effective. Anything longer than three or four lines may not be the most effective catalog blurb to use. So for the best strategy for your catalog writing, it is best to hire a professional writer as well. For online catalogs, this is doubly important since most online searches use important key terms for displaying a page. So it is good to employ an expert online writer for your catalog. There are a lot of freelance online writers out there which should be apt for this situation. Fast and Easy ordering process – Also, in your actual online catalog, always have a streamlined and easy to use payment process. Customers can really get turned off if the payment process exceeds a few minutes to accomplish. They want to understand the payment scheme easily, but it must also be said in a way that it does not get too boring and legalistic. Ask your web developer in creating an easy two step process of payment with quick and accessible fields so that people can have an easy time paying for the things they see in the catalog. Of course it is best to have a quick “buy now” link with the product picture to help expedite the process as well. Print supplemental paper catalogs – Lastly, while you do have an online catalog, it is also good to print catalogs as well physically. This means investing in real catalog printing using an online printer. Supplemental catalogs are still very effective, and people actually like browsing through products without waiting a few seconds for a page to upload. So make sure you have a “send me a catalog by snail mail” option in your online catalog, so that people can opt-in to receive your catalog by mail as well. Use these strategies well when you create your online catalog. By integrating this into your online catalog development you should be well assured that your potential customers will have a good time browsing your online and print catalogs. Hopefully this will generate the sales that can get your business to succeed.

Using Promotional Products To Boost Revenue
by Gen Wright
Marketing is a very important part of any company and it includes factors such as branding, brand recognition, brand awareness and brand exposure. There is nothing like a market full of people that are consciously deciding to buy your brand. Every company annually spends a huge portion of its revenues on advertising. Advertising is one of the primary vehicles of marketing and it is very important to find the right avenues through which you are marketing.
Many companies find interesting niches to market their products in and this changes the vehicle that carries advertising. Certain companies prefer to advertise solely on newsprint and TV commercials whilst others prefer billboards and the Internet. Some larger companies spend enough to get their names in every possible place. However, one of the easiest ways to advertise your brand name and get voluntary personal endorsements from your clients is to giveaway promotional products.
Promotional products are specially branded items that are given away as freebies at events and also as free gifts along with purchases made. These are usually items of personal use like key chains, mugs, caps, etc. The importance of having these promotional products is due to their personal usability. Customers, clients and other people who use these products are displaying your logo, your message to everyone around them. This is a very useful way of increasing your revenue.
By having your branding on so many personal use items across a large user base, you are spreading your name through people who are not even thinking that they are doing you a favor. And if the promotional novelties are very attractive and catchy, you will have a winner of an ad campaign through them.
These products also help with your brand exposure because so many people are using them everyday. You brand gets known and recognizable in the market and more importantly, your target audience recognizes you. This translates in to a higher ranking over the competition whereby your customers consciously choose your products.
They do this because when they are used to seeing the branding very often, an unconscious urge is created within them to personally associate with the brand. So they go ahead and buy your products and services with your brand on them.
Greater visibility amongst customers through prized promotional novelties is also a way to increase your brand prestige. With recognition, comes the question of a brand status and your image within your customer base will decide how they feel about being associated with your brand. With promotional gifts, you can work to increase this aspect of marketing as well.
Thus promotional gifts make for a good advertising and marketing strategy. There are several places where you can buy promotional gifts at wholesale rates. The range of these gifts is a large and varied one so you are sure to find products that go well with your branding. For example, if you own a bank, you can buy coin banks in various shapes and sizes or you can buy corporate gifts. Whatever you choose, make sure that your customers would want them and use them.
